How it works
The site Vertor.Com goes even further than just checking files.
Moderators get a proper torrent file and put it on the server for the users to download. If the download doesn't start after some series of attempts they mark it as "download error" and don't put it in the overall database. If the download has been completed successfully moderators also check contents of the downloaded file and post the information about this torrent and its contents on the site:
If we deal with an archive in a torrent file, VerTor's Team decompresses it and makes a list of the contents. And if there is an error in the download process, moderators mark this file as "protected" and don't place it further in the overall database.
If we deal with a video file in a torrent, Vertor's moderators take several screenshots of it, so users can verify that it is actually the same film the title says it is. If the video is protected by digital rights management, screenshots will be blank.
